Meet our Directors

The Directors of Angas Securities have a range of qualifications & experience in the areas of law and funds management.
The Board sets the company's corporate direction, monitors financial performance, oversees the implementation of internal controls and ensures that the highest standards of ethical behaviour are followed at all times.

Andrew Luckhurst-Smith

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Andrew has practiced law since 1979, principally in the area of banking and finance. He was Partner in Charge of the Adelaide office of national law firm Hunt & Hunt and a member of its national board prior to joining Angas Securities in an executive capacity.

He was a Director of ALR Corporation, a national mercantile agency of which he was one of the founders. He was responsible for business development nationally as well as managing the South Australian operations during the formative years of that company.

Andrew is a member of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association of Australia Limited. He has been National President of the Australian Anglican Schools Network, Chairman of the South Australian Anglican Schools Commission and Chairman of the State Library of South Australia's Finance Committee.

Andrew has been a Director of Angas Securities since 2000 and Executive Chairman since 2003.

Murray Martin

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Murray holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University with majors in Accounting and Finance. Murray is a registered Certified Practising Accountant. He has held senior roles as Managing Director of Westminster National for 28 years (including more than 12 years as its licensee) and as Managing Director of Service Finance Corporation where he gained valuable public company experience.

Murray has recently stepped back from broader commercial finance operations to concentrate on the niche field of real property mortgages funded by private lending. This is the lending product in which Angas Securities is a leading specialist.

Away from the office, Murray has had a lifelong passion for sport and outdoor activities, having played and held administrative roles in football, cricket and golf.

Murray Martin was recently welcomed to the Board after more than 20 years of finance industry dealings with Angas Securities. With his personal acumen, business network and industry experience, Murray will make a strong contribution to the Angas Securities Board.

Murray was appointed as a Non-Executive Director in 2025.
