Having the right people in the right jobs is a critical to achieving desired outcomes and is a hallmark of company culture. Commencing employment with Angas Securities in April 2005, Esther Yong is one such person.

Over the last 17 years, Esther has provided excellent lending and credit management support to Angas Prime and made an invaluable contribution to the performance of the Fund. Esther holds a Bachelor of Social Science honours degree (majoring in economics and statistics) from the Science University of Malaysia. In common with several of her Angas colleagues over the years, Esther’s prior career was with the ANZ Bank.

In her role as Angas Prime Portfolio Manager, Esther is responsible for making sure loan applications meet all required credit criteria and that all loan conditions have been fulfilled prior to settlement. She also deals with correspondence and data associated with the management of loans and prepares monthly reports and reconciliations on the lending portfolio.

Reflecting on her time with this company, Esther says, “Angas Prime has been a great place to work. From colleagues to management, it’s a very friendly and supportive environment - like one big family.
